Starting off September right with a backyard camp out with the kids. Girls are asleep. Blackburn is watching bats. Despite the city sounds it is all very soothing.
There is nothing pretty about this picture. I even tried to filter the photo to make it look better. That fan is blowing fumes out the side of our house. That hose leads to the second floor bathroom. A bathroom out of commission. Despite plungers, plumbing snakes, hoses, and Ben’s stretched arm nothing was working to unclog the drain pipe. Eventually it was revealed that our youngest flushed an apple core. We discovered this when water started flowing up instead of down. Who would have thought such a small thing would cause so much problems. Two days later after busted up walls and torn up floor boards we gave the chemicals a try. Within 15 minutes the drain was clear. The house is airing out. Despite the smell we are relieved.
I guess remodeling the bathroom just got moved up on our never ending list of things to do!
Isabella’s been riding without training wheels for a little bit now. A couple of weekends ago we took off Vita’s and away she went. No problems, no hesitation. We decided to remove Blackburn’s training wheels when we removed Vita’s and we made the right choice. He is doing great. He just needs to work on stopping. His way of stopping is to jump off the bike!
